What is covered?
We will compensate you if all these conditions are met:
- You lost assets after approving a transaction or signature on your wallet triggered by a Web3 site.
- You were using Kerberus Sentinel3 Pro, and after it scanned the transaction or signature, it didn’t show a gray, yellow, or red popup. Additionally, Kerberus Sentinel3 Pro must not have shown you a gray, yellow, or red alert on that Web3 site for any other transaction or signature.
- You were using the Sentinel3 Pro version.
- You saw Sentinel3 scanning before the transaction or signature.
Coverage Amount
100% reimbursement of lost asset value, up to $30,000 in USDC.
What is not covered?
We do not cover losses resulting from causes unrelated to Web3 transactions analyzed by Sentinel3. Examples:
- Compromised seed phrases or private keys (e.g., malware or sharing your seed phrase)
- Rug-pulled projects (e.g., founders abandoning the project or pulling liquidity)
- Hacked Protocols (e.g., smart contract vulnerabilities leading to exploits)
- Honeypots or malicious tokens (e.g., tokens not behaving as expected)
- Losses that are not from your wallet [usually from a deployed smart contract] (e.g., losses from your own smart contract or a Gnosis Safe)
- Ignored Sentinel3 warnings (e.g., proceeding despite getting a Sentinel3 alert)
- Sentinel3 scan loader didn't show (e.g., you disabled the Sentinel3 extension, or had another extension installed that conflicts with Sentinel3, causing it to malfunction, or used a different device)
- Lost funds from before using Sentinel3 (e.g., losses incurred before using Sentinel3)
- Unsupported chain losses (e.g., losses on chains not supported by Sentinel3)
- Losses with Sentinel3 Free version (e.g., you downgraded from Pro to the Free version of Sentinel3)
- Losses occurred while Sentinel3 Protection was disabled (e.g., you disabled Sentinel3 Protection in the extension menu)
- Human error with non-malicious contracts (e.g., sending funds to the wrong address)
- Market-related losses (e.g., token price decreases)
Additional Claim Rejection Scenarios
We reserve the right to reject coverage claims in cases where:
- there is insufficient evidence for Sentinel3 being used (e.g., no user activity from that wallet on our servers)
- there is evidence of abnormal user activity (e.g., you visit mostly scam sites)
- there is evidence of attempting to tamper with the Sentinel3 extension (e.g., you purposefully tried to make Sentinel3 malfunction)
- there is insufficient evidence for assets being lost (e.g., Etherscan link unable to be provided)
- there is evidence of the assets not being lost to a 3rd party scammer (e.g., you set up a scam for yourself)
- there is evidence of the assets being lost to an authorized internal party (e.g., your friend uses your PC and steals your funds)
Claim Process
- Open a ticket in our Discord’s #create-ticket channel
- Provide transaction details, wallet addresses, screenshots, and relevant links
- We'll review your Sentinel3 logs on our servers to confirm you incurred losses due to not seeing any popups for that transaction or signature
- We evaluate your claim with the conditions mentioned in "What is covered?":
- You lost assets after approving a transaction or signature on your wallet triggered by a Web3 site
- You were using Kerberus Sentinel3, and after it scanned the transaction or signature, it didn’t show a gray, yellow, or red popup
- You were using the Sentinel3 Pro version
- You saw Sentinel3 scanning before the transaction or signature
- We may ask you to join us on a video call and/or KYC
- If your claim is approved, you'll receive compensation equal to 100% of your lost asset value, calculated at the market price at the time of the incident, up to a maximum of $30,000 in USDC. For claims that don't meet our criteria, we'll provide a detailed explanation of why your case doesn't qualify, including specific reasons related to your transaction and Sentinel3 usage.
We should respond to your claim within 24-48hrs. Resolution time will vary based on your case's complexity.
Fees on some DEX transactions
To support the ongoing development and enhancement of Sentinel3's protective capabilities, we charge a 0.8% flat fee on Uniswap router swap transactions.
